5/13/2021 - Decorated Focaccia Bread Making Workshop for Grades 6-12 on June 8, 2021

The Southbury Public Library invites interested teens in Grades 6-12 and their families to virtually attend an online Decorated Focaccia Bread Making Workshop on Tuesday, June 8 from 4-6pm with Food Explorers.

Join Katie Shepherd, Registered Dietician from Food Explorers, for this special bread making workshop! You’ll make your own focaccia bread masterpiece by decorating with fresh vegetables and herbs, and make dinner rolls from scratch in this two-hour class. Right from the comfort of your own kitchen, you’ll mix, knead, decorate, and bake along with Katie as she walks everyone through the steps and answers any questions you may have. Space is limited to give time for questions, and registration is required to reserve your spot and receive Zoom login credentials. Learn more, find out the ingredients list, and register on the library’s website at www.southburylibrary.org/bread.

About the presenter: Katie Shepherd is a Registered Dietitian who graduated from UCONN. Katie always knew she wanted to work with kids, and took the plunge to create Food Explorers. Food Explorers programs get kids and teens hands-on with their food while they learn about healthy eating.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Southbury Public Library, free, and open to residents of any town who are in Grades 6-12.
