The Southbury Public Library Youth Services department is thrilled to welcome back the Registered Dietitians from Food Explorers for three programs this December. We’ll be offering a virtual baking program for families, a nutrition program for preschoolers and their caregivers in the library.
Food Explorers Online: Veggie Lasagna Soup – Wednesday, February 2 at 5:30 pm live on Zoom. Join the Registered Dietitians from Food Explorers to make a warm and cozy dinner. We're making Veggie Lasagna Soup! You'll need to following ingredients: 1 onion, garlic, 1 (one) 15 oz. can of diced tomatoes, 1 (one) 15 oz. jar of tomato sauce, 4 cups vegetable broth, lasagna noodles, parmesan cheese, and optional ingredients such as spinach, ricotta cheese, and dried oregano.

Tiny Food Explorers In-Person – Friday, February 11 at 11:00 am in the Kingsley room. Join Tiny Food Explorers for some fun with food! Come and explore new flavors and textures while playing games all about food and MyPlate! You’ll make a hands-on healthy snack that even the pickiest of eaters will be keen to try.
