2/2/2022 - Love Songs: A History on February 25, 2022

On Friday, February 25th, 2022 from 2-3:30pm on Zoom and streamed to the Kingsley Room, join us for a virtual musical performance and lecture about the history of love songs.

The love song is ubiquitous in pop culture. From Frank Sinatra to Justin Bieber, Bette Midler to Taylor Swift, nearly everyone has contributed to the love song in one way or another. Take a look into the origin of some of your favorite love songs while we enjoy a performance of some of history’s best love songs. This presentation will be given virtually.

Dan Lupo has published over 15 books on music and music theory through his book publishing company Encore Music Books. He is the owner of A to G School of Music, as well as the founder of Five Minute Mozart - an online video tutorial program which provides music theory education for beginning to intermediate students.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency.
