Join us for the first part of a series commemorating the 80th anniversary of the United States entering World War II. Learn more about the United State’s involvement in World War II between December 8, 1941 and March 31, 1942. This time period began with Day of Infamy, Pearl Harbor and led to the beginning of war rationing, men and women serving their country, blackouts and more. Explore the experience of the American public in the early days of the war.
Mark Albertson is the historical research editor for the Army Aviation magazine, and the historian for the Army Aviation Association of America. He has taught classes on military history at Norwalk Community College as well as the Lifetime Learners Institute. Albertson has authored several books on military history.
