On Tuesday, April 12th, 2022 from 2-3:30pm on Zoom and streamed to the Kingsley Room, join us for a virtual performance and lecture about jazz
Join us and learn more about the history, styles and some major contributors to jazz. Topics will include the components which are common to all eras, as well as those which are unique to a particular style. We will explore the similar elements found in both jazz and classical music (and where the two worlds overlap), gain a deeper understanding of what makes jazz tick, and listen to many examples.
Barry Wiesenfeld is an internationally recognized award-winning musician, a published author, and is on the music faculty of SUNY and Ramapo College. He has accompanied Grammy- and RMI-winning artists, performed on three continents and has played on numerous recordings, radio and TV.
