The Gloria Cachion Gallery at the Southbury Public Library will showcase the art of Marilyn Ventresca DiChiara from Friday, September 2, 2022 through Thursday, September 29, 2022.
Marilyn is a graduate of the Paier School of Art in Hamden, Connecticut. After working for many years as a graphic designer in ad agencies and publishing companies, she transitioned to the fine arts. She works in several mediums; a majority are done in watercolor. A strong enjoyment of drawing has also led her to create works in colored pencil.
Memberships include the Watertown Art League, Kent Art Association and Marilyn is a signature member of the Northeast Watercolor Society.
Marilyn has received many awards from various art organizations, including The Northeast Watercolor Society International Exhibition, Kent Art Association, the Watertown Art League, Creative Arts Center, Chatham, MA and the Society of Creative Arts in Newtown.
The exhibit will be open during regular library hours which are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30am to 5:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday 9:30am to 9:00pm, Saturdays 9:30am to 4:00pm and Sundays 12:00pm to 5:00pm (after Labor Day). The exhibit will also be online too as a virtual gallery.
