7/6/2023 - An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe on July 20, 2023

On Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 6:30-8pm in person in the Kingsley Room, join us for a performance exploring the life and poetry of Edgar Allan Poe.

The undisputed master of the macabre, Edgar Allan Poe, comes to life for a special evening of mystery and horror. Learn the truth behind the fiction of the life, legacy, and death of this American legend. Enjoy your favorite stories and poems performed live by historic re-enactor, Campbell Harmon.

Campbell Harmon has performed as Edgar Allan Poe since 2009. He has brought the Master of the Macabre to life for audiences across America. Harmon has worked with museums, libraries, schools, and the National Endowment for the Arts to further historical education and spark a love of reading in young and old alike.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. This program is sponsored by the Charles H. and Ella Emery Rutledge Fund. Registration is required. Please visit the link below for more information and to register.
