On Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 1-2pm in the Kingsley Room, Matthew Fishteyn returns to perform a collection of Latin American music.
Join us for a musical experience like never before. Explore Hispanic musical heritage by journeying through the best of what the Americas had to offer in the twentieth century. Take an excursion through well-known musical works of Central and South America, including Jobim, Velazquez, and others. Witness how such music melted into the jambalaya of the Southeastern United States, and influenced homegrown genres.
Matthew Fishteyn is a multi-talented performer. An award-winning composer, pianist, and guitarist, Fishteyn seamlessly switches from jazz to rock'n roll and transforms his musical performance into a more personal and interactive experience. His repertoire in both composing and performing make a program that is not to be missed.
