11/16/2023 - Genealogy: Cross the Pond on December 15, 2023

On Friday, December 15th, 2023 from 2-3:30pm on Zoom and streamed to the Kingsley Room, join us for a virtual program and learn more about the research process in genealogy outside the United States.

Records and family history tell you an ancestor was born in Europe. But you need more than a country to “cross the pond.” This program will introduce the sources most likely to provide a specific town or county of birth for an ancestor who arrived in the US in the late 19th and early 20th century.

Bryna O’Sullivan is a Middletown, CT based professional genealogist and French to English genealogical translator. As proprietor of Charter Oak Genealogy, she specializes in lineage society translations.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. This program is sponsored by the Janet Mann Fund. Registration is required. Zoom invitation links will be sent via email on the day of the program. Please visit the link below for more information and to register.
