6/20/2024 - Birds, Bees, Butterflies, and Bats on July 9, 2024

On Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 2:00- 3:30pm in the Kingsley Room, join us to learn more about pollinators.

We can thank pollinators for the fruits and veggies that we eat. Pollinators are integral to our ecosystems. Join us as we learn about their role in plant reproduction, why they need to be protected, the threats they face, and how people can help them.

Allison Middlemass is a naturalist, environmental educator, and artist. She grew up in nature and a wildlife-loving family who cultivated her passion for wildlife conservation from a young age. She works as the Senior Coordinator of Community Conservation Programs at the Bent of the River Audubon Center in Southbury CT. Her role includes being an educator for the center as well as building partnerships with communities in underserved urban areas like Waterbury.

Like all Southbury Public Library programs, this program is free to attend and open to anyone regardless of town of residency. This program is sponsored by the Charles H. and Ella Emery Rutledge Fund. Registration is required. Please visit the link below for more information and to register.
