Southbury Celebration Committee is looking for local musical talent and Food trucks / food vendors for this year's Southbury Celebration on Saturday, September 26, 2026. The 28th Annual Southbury Celebration featuring food, music, community fellowship and fireworks is co-sponsored by the Town of Southbury and the Southbury Training School and is held at beautiful Lake Stibbs at the Southbury Training School on Route 172 in Southbury. The rain date is Sunday, September 27th.
“Southbury Celebration Committee is excited to host local area musical talent to perform before their family, friends, and community, especially as we celebrate our nation’s 250th Anniversary” stated Chair Brian M. Jones.
The Committee would like to invite performers of all ages to perform music with intergenerational appeal and focus mostly on very recognizable cover songs. Music of all genres welcomed, i.e.: Pop; Folk; Rock; Jazz; Standards; Broadway; etc. Performers may use live accompaniment or karaoke tracks. Due to size and time restrictions, groups are encouraged to limit their numbers to five performers in the group.
Please complete on-line musical talent submission form and upload video files or YouTube links to: www.southbury-ct.org/sbycelebration-music for consideration. There is a place in the form for any questions, concerns or special accommodations.
The Committee will review all submissions and choose the performers that fit the spirit of the event. Performers will be selected by Committee taking into consideration entertainment factor and available space on the program. The performers chosen will have the experience of performing in front of thousands from their community and will not be financially compensated. The deadline for musical talent submission is Sunday, June 28, 2026. Spots are limited so early submissions are encouraged.
Food trucks, commercial food vendors, community groups and organizations can immediately apply to be a food vendor. Limited spaces are available.
