5/21/2021 - June is Dog Licensing Month

Southbury Animal Control has been informed that there will not be a Rabies Clinic in Southbury this June.

The Town Clerk's office prefers to continue issuing dog licenses by mail. The application for mail-in licensing can be found on the Town of Southbury’s website at https://southbury-ct.org/doglicenses. Please remember to include a copy of a current Rabies certificate and a self-addressed envelope. Now might be a good time to check your dog's rabies vaccination to make sure it is up to date - the rabies expiration date is on the paperwork provided by your Veterinarian or the Town Clerk's Dog License.

Though there will be no Rabies Clinic this year, most veterinarians are still open for appointments. For a low cost option, Petco’s “Vetco” clinics are open by appointment only. To book an appointment online, visit www.vetcoclinics.com. For another low cost option, Tractor Supply offers low cost clinics. For more information, please contact specific Tractor Supply location to find available dates.
