Southbury Celebration

Food! Fun!! Fireworks!!! Please bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get set for a terrific evening of fun and celebration for all ages.

  • Food court, music, vendors from 4:30 to 9:00pm
  • Southbury Police, Fire and Ambulance personnel and equipment will be on-site providing public safety information
  • FIREWORKS approximately at 8:15pm

Join the fun with Southbury Land Trust and Southbury Parks and Rec as we introduce you to the sport of Orienteering. Rick and Susan DeWitt with Western CT Orienteering Club will lead a 90-minute introduction to the sport of orienteering. We’ll teach people the basic skills required for the sport: how to read an orienteering map, how to use a compass to orient the map, and the rules for completing an orienteering course.
