EMERGENCY CENTER: FLOODING INFORMATION
The Memorial Day Parade began at the Pomperaug Office Park parking lot, located across from CVS, Depot Hill Road, continued down Main Street South, and ended at the Veterans Memorial Green, located between the Town Hall and the Senior Center/Park & Recreation Offices. Because of the weather, the Ceremony took place inside of Parks and Recreation building.
The annual event is organized by the Southbury Parks & Recreation Department and Memorial Day Parade Committee, with help from the Southbury Police, Senior Services, Emergency Management, Public Works and Fire Departments.
Special thanks to VFW Post 1607, American Legion Post 147, American Legion Post 204, Scouts and Scoutmasters, Southbury Town Clergy, Pomperaug High School Band, Southbury Ambulance Association, Southbury First Selectman Jeffrey Manville and our main speaker Myke Kuslis, Principal of Nonnewaug High School.
