Protect yourself, protect others and protect the environment, by learning to understand and properly apply pesticides for turf and Ornamental Trees and Shrubs in the landscape. This class will help prepare you to take the CT 3A Custom Grounds Ornamental and Turf supervisory license exam.
Students will be learning about insects and diseases of small trees, shrubs and turf grass, controls for these pest to include cultural, organic and chemical. Also regulatory and record keeping practices as required for the state of Connecticut.

Class take place in the Parks and Recreation building: 561 Main St South, Southbury, CT 06488.
Students must bring a spiral notebook, pen or pencil for taking notes.
A goal of the course is for the students to assemble notes and handouts into a notebook for future study. Students should also have access to online web resources for continued study outside of the classroom, and be able to print materials from the web and assemble into a notebook for future reference.
