IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SUMMER 2024:

1. Registration is now open for residents of Southbury
2. Registration will open on 3/1/24 for non-residents
3. Resident/Non-resident participant ratio restrictions will be lifted on 5/1/24 (any non-residents on a waitlist will be contacted if there is camp availability)

Adventure Day Camp

Adventure Day Campers will enjoy days full of exciting sports and games, creative art projects, exciting field trips, pool time, swim lessons, and fun in the sun. Adventure Day Camp is held Monday-Friday from 8 am to 3:30 pm, with scheduled field trips on Thursdays every week (excluding pre-camp and week 2). Each camp week will be creatively themed and scheduled by our camp staff with age-appropriate activities and special events designed to give campers the most fun and memorable summer camp experience possible.

Adventure Day Camp also offers an after-camp option. After-Camp takes place from 3:30 pm-5:30 pm with a snack provided; extra pool time is weather and other factors permitting.

Adventure Day Camp - After Camp

Adventure Day Camp offers extended camp hours for an additional fee. Southbury Parks and Recreation will provide a light snack to all campers. Campers will play games, do art projects, and have the opportunity to swim at the town pool when camp is held at Ballantine Park.

After camp is 3:30pm-5:30pm and is held at whatever location camp occurred for the day. Locations may include: Ballantine Park, Southbury Parks and Recreation's Building, and/or Region 15 schools. Weather related changes will be posted on MyRec in a red Alert banner.

TeenScape

Teenscape is a 6-week camp that is offered as a package or as individual weeks. Camp starts and ends at Ballantine Park, Mondays through Thursdays. Sample trips include Brownstone Park, Dave and Busters, Lake Compounce, Six Flags, water parks, and much more!

This camp is held weekly from Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm (times might vary depending on the trip destinations.

NOTE: Pre-Camp will be held Wednesday, 6/19 – Friday, 6/21 with no field trips!

You must be entering 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th grade to participate in Teenscape.

Counselor-In-Training Program

Counselor-In-Training (C.I.T.s) is a program for Grades 8-12 who enjoy spending time with children and want to help the community while learning leadership skills. C.I.T.s are expected at camp between the hours of 8:00 am-3:30 pm daily for their registered week(s). Participants will partake in all camp activities, have the opportunity to lead a craft/activity station and participate in weekly leadership training and meeting with the Camp Leadership Staff.
