Courts available for reservation:

4 Pickleball & 3 Tennis
Ballantine Park
611 Old Field Road

3 Tennis
Community House Park
200 Community House Road

General Court information:

Courts are available from Dawn to Dusk on a first-come first-serve basis, unless a reservation has been secured. Anyone using the courts without a permit must yield to players with a permit. Permit Fee per reservation is $2 for Southbury residents and $6 for non-residents. COURTS MAY NOT BE USED: for any for-profit endeavor without the permission of the Southbury Parks and Recreation office. If you or someone you know would like to run programming for Tennis or Pickleball: please contact the office to submit a proposal!

Sponsored activities or programs of the Parks & Recreation Department and Town of Southbury take priority.

  • Tennis and Pickleball Court Permits are issued on a first come first serve basis.
  • Each court reservation is for one hour in time. Residents of Southbury and Non-Residents are welcome to reserve the courts.
  • Permits are sent automatically to your email. IMPORTANT: if you have an email from SBCGlobal, you will NOT receive your permit. This is due to SBC's settings and cannot be overridden.
  • Due to the predicted high volume of requests, rental permits for the courts are limited to 2 hours of court rentals* per day per group.
*Court rentals include all the courts combined, including tennis and pickleball.

If a patron takes advantage of the self-serving system, the patron/account may be disciplined/suspended from Parks and Recreation services. Potential abuse includes but is not limited to: over use at any time, reserving multiple courts at a single time but only using one, and charging for services while using the facility.

In order to provide a self-serving system, with the option to reserve courts in advance (including weekends), once your permit is issued, there will be no refunds, "rain dates", or transfers - even in the event of inclement weather.

Please be courteous to patrons on the court when you arrive. Show them your permit and politely ask them to relocate or vacate as needed. Reserve a court today! Visit our facilities page: https://southburyct.myrec.com/info/facilities/default.aspx.
