MESSAGE FROM P&R DIRECTOR
The mornings are getting brighter and the days are getting longer! Spring will be here before we know it. This time of year I look forward to seeing the daffodils pop up through the ground and the forsythia bushes blooming. Soon there will be a sea of yellow everywhere! It was a tough Winter for getting in walks and fresh air, but the end is in sight. If you’re like me and you still have some Winter projects on your to do list, don’t worry, we still have March to contend with. Our snow sculpture contest ends on March 17th, so if we get more snow, don’t forget to send us your snowy creations for a chance to win a prize!
At Parks and Rec we are busy getting ready for our Spring celebrations. Save the date: Our Spring Extravaganza will be on Saturday April 5th from 9:30am-11:30am. There will be Spring crafts inside our building, and we hope to do our candy scramble outside on the PES fields (weather dependent). If you have any plastic eggs or capsules that you are looking to get rid of, we would be happy to take them! You can drop them off in our office and we will clean them and re-use them.
Safe travels to everyone who is going away on Spring break! Anyone still in town should check out our April Vacation camp. We’ll see you at the parks and fields soon!
