"Into the Wild" with Southbury Land Trust - a fun and educational opportunity for families to learn more about the wildlife that calls Southbury home! Eagle Scout Bryan Wood shared his work researching Little Brown Bats and discussed the bat houses he had built and installed at Phillips Farm Preserve!
Attendees learned about local wildlife and explored a variety of hands-on educational items, including a bat skeleton and other interesting specimens. Visitors could also take a close look at monarch butterflies, moths, and insects - including their wings and antennae - and had the opportunity to see animal skulls and pelts from native wildlife.
