Athletic Facilities

Our office is currently revamping our court reservation system for the 2024 season! Information will be announced next month with details on how to reserve a tennis or pickleball court. Until reservations open, all courts are first-come-first-serve, dawn to dusk. Please respect signage when courts are indicated to be closed for weather related concerns.

Southbury has several athletic facilities. Please see below what facilities are available at each park. Facilities are managed by the Parks and Recreation Department and maintained by the Southbury Public Works Department. Any Southbury recognized club or organization may reserve the facilities. A recognized club or organization is defined as an organization that has filed by-laws with the Parks and Recreation Department.

Field Permit

The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for assignment of fields. Please visit facility registration page to submit a request or download download the Southbury Field Permit Packet for information and the forms.

Tennis Court, Basketball Court and Pickleball Court Permit

The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for assignment of courts. Please download the Southbury Tennis Court/Basketball Court Permit Packet for information and the forms.

Playing Facilities in Southbury

• Ballantine Park: 2 softball fields, 3 tennis courts, a full basketball court, 4 pickleball courts. More information about the park.
• Community House Park: softball, baseball, soccer & football field, 3 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts. More information about the park.
• Ewald Park: 3 baseball fields. More information about the park.
• Seman Park: soccer fields. More information about the park.
• Settlers Park: soccer, baseball, softball and lacrosse fields. More information about the park.
