FLOOD DAMAGE SURVEY
For residents, businesses, and farms affected by the historic flood on August 18-19th the Town is asking them to complete the state’s survey, accessed by our Town website, and report damages as soon as possible. This information is a gathering survey only, and not a substitute for reporting damage to your insurance agency. Details at www.southbury-ct.org/emergencycenter
STATE-FUNDED GRANTS FOR SMALL BUSINESSES IMPACTED BY THE FLOOD
The Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) is administering the program on behalf of the CT Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD). Applications will be reviewed on rolling basis until funds are exhausted. For more information, visit www.ctwbdc.org/flood-recovery.
USDA HELD A FARMERS ‘LISTENING SESSION’ IN SOUTHBURY
Southbury hosted a listening session this week for area farmers to share the impact of the historic flood with U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, U.S. Congresswoman Jahana Hayes, Connecticut Department of Agriculture, UConn Extension and CT District Office of U.S. Small Business Administration. SOUTHBURY CELEBRATION - SEPTEMBER 7, 2024
The Town of Southbury will hold its biggest event of the year on September 7th from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Southbury Training School. FIREWORKS will be at approximately 8:15 p.m. This event is FREE and for the whole family. Rain date is Sept. 8th. More details, including a list of food trucks, here.
