Mission/General Information
According to Section 1002 of Town Charter, "This Charter shall be reviewed, and amended, as necessary, in the manner prescribed by the General Statutes. Such review shall occur not less often than once every five (5) years. A copy of the proposed Charter amendments, as recommended by the Board of Selectmen, and a copy of the final Charter amendments, as voted upon by the electors of the Town of Southbury shall be maintained by the Town Clerk for public inspection."
Charter Revision Commission is looking for input from residents and town employees regarding changes to the Charter. The suggested changes can be submitted via this form.
Public Hearing to be held on September 4, 2024, at 7:00 pm, in room 205 of the Southbury Town Hall in accordance with the requirements of the Connecticut General Statutes 7-191(a), for the purpose of hearing comments from residents on the Charter and suggestions for change.
