6/2/2023 - Save the Dates for Summer Concerts!

concert at town hall green

As we approach summer, we would like to share our outdoor concerts. Concerts are free and open to the public. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket. In case of rain, the concerts will be cancelled. All concerts will be held on the green next to Southbury Town Hall. Park at 561 Main Street South, Pomperaug Elementary or at the lower parking lot of Town Hall.

July 10: 6:00-8:00 pm “MODAL EXPRESS”

A satisfying collection of familiar songs from Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers, Sting, Bonnie Raitt, Don Henley and a variety of Motown and R&B gives their sound both a danceability and an immersive listening experience. The members of this band are seasoned players who find joy in recreating these textured songs; a joy they share with the audience. They WILL make you move. And for those who remember putting on the headphones, closing your eyes and diving in… they’ll entice you to listen.

July 17: 6:00 – 8:00 pm “LE’MIXX BAND"

“Le’Mixx Band” is an eight-piece high energy classic R&B, soul, funk and reggae review band. With their wide array of music covering many genres from Marvin Gaye to the Beatles, they are always the crowd pleaser. Past performances by “Le'Mixx” include events such as the Governor's Ball, the Hartford Mayor's Ball, and the Jerry Lewis telethon fundraiser. With over 30 years of experience between its eclectic mix of band members, you can bet that this band will have everybody up dancing.

July 24: 6:00-8:00 pm "CLEARVIEW”

Celebrate with the original 3 members as they play together for 20 plus years and whose sound is enhanced by the addition of a plethora of new talent. Clearview plays a wide range of musical genres, from Allman Brothers to ZZ Top, including classic rock, blues, country, folk, Motown jazz, and funk. Clearview aims to bring smiles to their listeners’ faces.

July 31: 6:00-8:00 pm “THE RAKES”

The Rakes are a band of 5 friends who have as much fun perfecting their songs as they do preforming them; and it shows. Exceptional vocals are at the forefront with solid backing musicianship that compliments rather than distracts. Covering a diverse selection of genre jumping music a Rakes gig is a guaranteed good time. At their core, The Rakes are a countryish Americana band. But as you will quickly learn they defy the "country" label. Mixing classic rock, a little soul, a dash of blues, a "90's" music and even a little hip hop The Rakes exhibit broad appeal as they truly play something for just about everyone.
