It is a state law that all dogs over 6 months of age must be licensed in the town where they reside. Please be reminded, that per State Statute, there is a $1 penalty fee per month per dog when an owner fails to license by the June 30 deadline.
If your dog was registered last year and the rabies certificate is still current, you can save time by renewing the license online. The online portal will be available until August 31.
Dog licenses, both new and renewals, can also be done by mail, or in person during office hours, Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-1pm.
