Permits


Permits issued by the Records Division of the Southbury Police Department.

Records Division is opened Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm. Closed 1:00pm - 2:00pm each day. The Records Division follows the Town Hall Schedule for holiday closures.


Pistol Permits

Southbury Residents may apply for Temporary 60-Day Pistol Permit by submitting an application (Form DPS-799-C) along with the required documents listed on the application to the Records office during working hours.


Solicitor Permits

According to Town Code of Ordinances, all solicitors, hawkers, peddlers, salesmen and canvassers must obtain a permit from the Town of Southbury.

Applicants must bring a completed and notarized application to the Southbury Police Department Records Division during office hours.


Bingo Permits

Applicants must bring a completed and notarized application as well as a check for the associated fee to the Southbury Police Department Records Division during office hours.

Payment must be made via check made out to ‘Town of Southbury’.


Raffle Permits

Applicants must bring a completed application as well as a check for the associated fee to the Southbury Police Department Records Division during office hours.
