News Release from the Southbury Women's Club.
The Southbury Women’s Club, in partnership with the Earl W. and Hildagunda A. Brinkman Private Charitable Foundation, is proud to announce the launch of the Respond, Repair, Rebuild: Farm Relief Initiative for farms that were severely impacted by the devastating floods on August 18-19, 2024. This program aims to provide crucial financial relief to producing farms. To be eligible to request gifting farms must produce agriculture or produce and sell agricultural products. It's our goal to lessen the significant and immediate financial burden many farmers faced after the flooding. Repairing and restoring farms is costly and crucial for the livelihoods of these families and our community that depends on them. Preference will be given to farms located in Southbury with assistance to other area towns as funds are available.

With heartfelt gratitude, the SWC would like to recognize and thank the Earl W. and Hildagunda A. Brinkman Private Charitable Foundation for their substantial contribution, which has provided the essential funding for the launch of this program.
