Mission/General Information
Southbury Celebration is a town-wide event featuring food, music, fireworks and community fellowship. The annual program is co-sponsored by the Town of Southbury and the Southbury Training School and overlooks beautiful Lake Stibbs at the Southbury Training School on Route 172. The community event draws approximately 5,000 people each year.
Event Information
The date of the 2024 Southbury Celebration is Saturday, September 7 (rain date, Sunday, September 8).
- Food court, music, vendors, from 4:30 to 9:00pm
- Southbury Police, Fire and Ambulance personnel and equipment will be on-site providing public safety information
- FIREWORKS approximately at 8:15pm

Southbury Celebration Committee is looking for food vendors and local area musical talent for this year's Southbury Celebration.
No alcohol and no pets are permitted at the event. Caution should be exercised with service animals due to the large crowds and fireworks noises. Extensive free parking is on the STS Great Front Lawn. Due to congested event traffic and safety concerns, there will be no pedestrian walking, no vehicle parking and no parent “drop off/pick up” along Route 172. Handicap and Special Needs parking is available at the Lake Stibbs parking lot.
