General Information
The mission of the Town Clerk's office is to preserve and protect all records placed in the custody of this office and to provide a wide range of services to the public in a professional and courteous manner.
Core Functions: The Town Clerk is entrusted with the responsibility of recording and indexing all of the town's land records; issuing and recording marriage licenses and recording birth and death certificates; issuing dog licenses and keeping records of such; recording military discharges; keeping notary, justice of the peace and campaign finance records; performing a variety of election related duties, including the issuance of absentee ballots; filing and posting of agendas and minutes and supplying general information to the public.
* Effective November 19, 2024 Marriage Licenses will be by appointment only.
*24 hour notice is required and only one license per appointment.
*Marriage license worksheet must be filled out prior to the appointment. Must be given to the town clerk at the time of the appointment.
