The mission of the Town Clerk's office is to preserve and protect all records placed in the custody of this office and to provide a wide range of services to the public in a professional and courteous manner.
Core Functions: The Town Clerk is entrusted with the responsibility of recording and indexing all of the town's land records; issuing and recording marriage licenses and recording birth and death certificates; issuing dog licenses and keeping records of such; recording military discharges; keeping notary, justice of the peace and campaign finance records; performing a variety of election related duties, including the issuance of absentee ballots; filing and posting of agendas and minutes and supplying general information to the public.
